This level of Meowdoku can be tricky, but a few key placements make the rest of the puzzle fall into place. Remember the rules: one cat per row, column, and colored region, and no cats can touch, even diagonally.

Our first move is the most straightforward on the board.

Place the cat in row 1, column 2.

The reason for this placement is that the cell at (1, 2) is a single-cell purple region. Since every region must have a cat, this is a guaranteed placement. This immediately fills row 1 and column 2.

Next, let's look at the bottom-left corner of the puzzle.

Place the cat in row 9, column 1.

Consider the dark yellow region made of cells (9, 1), (9, 2), and (10, 1). Since we already placed a cat in column 2, the cell at (9, 2) is invalid.
