How to Solve Meowdoku Level 12
Start by scanning the board for the smallest colored regions, as these dictate forced moves.
The pink region contains only a single space. Place the cat in row 2, column 1. Similarly, the purple region consists of just one square. Place the cat in row 5, column 4.
Next, evaluate the dark yellow region in the bottom left. The cat placed in column 1 eliminates the entire left side of this region. Additionally, the cat in row 5 eliminates row 5, column 2. This leaves only two options for the dark yellow region: row 4, column 2 or row 6, column 2.
Now, look at the yellow region on the right side. Row 2 and row 5 are already occupied. Column 4 is full, and the no-touch rule around the purple cat diagonally eliminates row 4, column 5. This leaves row 3, column 6 and row 4, column 6 as the only options for the yellow region.
If you were to put the dark yellow cat at row 4, column 2, it would force the yellow cat into row 3, column 6. This creates a chain reaction that leaves no valid, non-touching space for a cat in column 5. Therefore, the dark yellow cat must go at the bottom. Place the cat in row 6, column 2.
Because row 6 and column 2 are now satisfied, row 4 still needs a cat. Place the cat in row 4, column 6 to satisfy both the fourth row and the yellow region.
Now, check column 5. The yellow cat at row 4, column 6 diagonally touches row 3, column 5, completely eliminating it. The only safe spot left for column 5 is in the top blue region. Place the cat in row 1, column 5.
Finally, column 3 still needs a cat. With row 1 now occupied, the only available space is in the center of the light green region. Place the cat in row 3, column 3.
