How to Solve Meowdoku Level 26

When tackling this grid, the best starting points are the colored regions that consist of only a single cell. Look at the left side of the board to find a single dark pink cell. Place the cat in row 3, column 1. Next, look near the bottom right for the single olive-colored cell. Place the cat in row 8, column 7.

With these two anchored, we can use the no-touching rule to clear out adjacent spaces. Because of the cat in row 3, the surrounding area is restricted. To fill the light green region safely while giving column 3 its required feline, Place the cat in row 4, column 3.

Now, evaluate the purple region on the lower left. We must avoid rows 3 and 4, as well as the diagonals of our existing cats. To fulfill the purple region's requirement without touching anything else, Place the cat in row 6, column 2.

Move down to the large brown region at the bottom. Row 8 is already satisfied, so the brown region's cat must go higher up. To safely avoid the diagonals of the cat in column 7, Place the cat in row 7, column 5.

Working our way up to the pink region in the middle right, we need to satisfy row 5. Staying clear of column 5 and the cat below it, Place the cat in row 5, column 6.

Finally, look at the top sections. The light orange region needs a cat, and column 8 is completely empty. Place the cat in row 2, column 8. This leaves the top teal region. With column 4 being the only remaining open column that doesn't violate the row or touch rules, Place the cat in row 1, column 4 to complete the game.
