Meowdoku Level 16 Answer

Solving Level 16 requires carefully tracking small regions and eliminating shared columns. Here is the final solution:

  • Row 1, column 7
  • Row 2, column 5
  • Row 3, column 8
  • Row 4, column 3
  • Row 5, column 6
  • Row 6, column 2
  • Row 7, column 4
  • Row 8, column 1

How to Solve Meowdoku Level 16

Start by finding the most restricted colored regions. The light pink and gold regions consist of only a single square each. Place the cat in row 5, column 6 for the light pink region. Then, place the cat in row 3, column 8 for the gold region.

Next, look at the brown region on the right side. The cats in column 6 and column 8 fill those columns and block adjacent diagonal cells. Because row 3 and row 5 are also full, all lower brown cells are completely blocked by the no-touch rule. The only safe spot is at the very top. Place the cat in row 1, column 7.

Now, inspect the dark green region. Since columns 6, 7, and 8 are restricted, the only valid dark green cells left are in column 4 (specifically row 6 and row 7). This means column 4 is entirely reserved for the dark green cat. Knowing this, look at the orange region. With rows 3 and 5 full, and column 4 reserved, the only safe cell that doesn't touch existing cats is in the third column. Place the cat in row 4, column 3.

With column 3 now full, the light green region on the left is heavily restricted. Its only open cell that avoids full rows and diagonal touches is in column 2. Place the cat in row 6, column 2. Because row 6 is now occupied, the dark green cat cannot go there. Place the cat in row 7, column 4.

Only two regions remain. The purple region is blocked in almost every column by our previous placements, leaving only one safe square. Place the cat in row 2, column 5. Finally, the magenta region takes the last open intersection on the board. Place the cat in row 8, column 1.
