To clear this puzzle, you must use region limits and no-touch rules to deduce the safe cells. Here is the step-by-step logical path to victory.
Step 1: The Magenta Region Start by looking at the bottom right of the board. The cell in row 8, column 8 is the only cell in the entire magenta region. Place the cat in row 8, column 8. Because cats cannot touch, this immediately places an X in all surrounding diagonal and adjacent cells.
Step 2: The Dark Green Deductions Notice that the entire first row is made of dark green cells. Since each colored region can only contain one cat, the dark green region’s cat is guaranteed to be in row 1. This means every other dark green cell on the board (such as those in columns 2 and 9) cannot contain a cat.
Step 3: Column 9 and Row 6 With the top of column 9 blocked by dark green Xs, and the bottom blocked by your first cat, the orange region needs its spot. Place the cat in row 5, column 9.
