How to Solve Meowdoku Level 18

Solving this puzzle requires careful attention to regional boundaries and the strict no-touch rule, which prevents cats from touching horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

Starting out requires looking for the most restricted areas. Notice the isolated beige region consisting of exactly one cell. Since every region must contain a cat, the first step is clear. Place the cat in row 7, column 3. This immediately blocks the entirety of row 7 and column 3, as well as all surrounding diagonal cells.

Next, look at the dark green region on the left side. To safely satisfy column 1 without interfering with other placements, look to the bottom left corner. Place the cat in row 10, column 1. This naturally blocks the rest of row 10.

Moving up to the purple region, with column 3 completely blocked off, the options are heavily limited. Place the cat in row 5, column 2.

Now focus on the gold region near the top. Since columns 2 and 3 are no longer available, choose a safe cell to avoid diagonal touches. Place the cat in row 3, column 4.

For the fifth column, look toward the top light blue region. Place the cat in row 1, column 5.

Shifting to the bottom half, the brown region spans across the middle-lower area. Place the cat in row 9, column 6. This perfectly clears column 6 while leaving enough space on the right side for the remaining pieces.

To satisfy the far right edge without touching the row 9 cat, look to the lower pink region. Place the cat in row 8, column 10.

Now, fill in the remaining middle columns. To satisfy the upper light green area, find the highest available safe cell. Place the cat in row 4, column 7.

Following the no-touch rule, step down to safely clear the next column without bumping into existing cats. Place the cat in row 6, column 8.

Finally, the last remaining valid cell for column 9 is tucked at the top right. Place the cat in row 2, column 9.
