How to Solve Meowdoku Level 121

This walkthrough explains the key logical steps to solve Meowdoku Level 121. We will focus on the most constrained regions to find the correct spots for our feline friends.

A great place to start is with the small, single-cell regions. Look at the pink region in the lower half of the board. It consists of only one cell. Since every region must contain a cat, we have our first guaranteed placement. Place the cat in row 7, column 4.

Now, let's look at the light green region in the last row, which occupies columns 2 and 3. A cat must be placed in either row 8, column 2 or row 8, column 3. However, the cat we just placed at row 7, column 4 makes the cell at row 8, column 3 unavailable, as cats cannot touch diagonally. This forces our next move. Place the cat in row 8, column 2.

With cats now in columns 2 and 4, we can solve the pink region in the middle of the board. This region covers row 5, column 3 and row 5, column 4. Since column 4 already has a cat in it (at row 7), the only possible spot for a cat in this region is the adjacent cell. Place the cat in row 5, column 3.

From here, continue using the rules of Meowdoku. Ensure every row, column, and colored region has exactly one cat, and that no two cats are touching, even diagonally. By eliminating impossible squares, the remaining cat placements will become clear.
