How to Solve Meowdoku Level 23
When starting this level, the varying region sizes are your best clues for finding safe placements.
Begin with the tiny dark pink region in the bottom middle. Place the cat in row 9, column 6. This immediately controls the surrounding cells due to the strict no-touch rule.
Next, look at the blue region in the bottom right corner. To avoid touching the dark pink region's cat diagonally or orthogonally, you must use the outer edge. Place the cat in row 10, column 8.
Now focus on the small dark green region on the middle left. Place the cat in row 5, column 2. This satisfies the region while keeping adjacent columns open for other cats.
Move to the nearby light pink region. Place the cat in row 6, column 4. This placement works perfectly because it safely avoids the diagonal reach of the dark green cat.
For the olive region in the bottom left, we need to respect the column rules. Place the cat in row 7, column 1. This ensures it doesn't share a column with the dark green cat and satisfies the region constraint.
Address the large orange region at the bottom. To avoid all previously placed cats and their no-touch zones, the safest spot is clear. Place the cat in row 8, column 3.
Moving to the top half of the board, tackle the brown region. Place the cat in row 1, column 5. This secures the top row while leaving outer columns open.
In the top right purple region, you need to stay away from the brown region's cat. Place the cat in row 2, column 10. This satisfies the region and the far right column.
For the widespread light green region, we have limited rows left. Place the cat in row 3, column 7. This fills the required row and column constraints while respecting the no-touch rule.
Finally, look at the light yellow region on the right side. Place the cat in row 4, column 9. This perfectly completes the puzzle by filling the last available row and column without touching any other cats.
