How to Solve Meowdoku Level 50

To beat this puzzle, you must carefully navigate the colored regions while ensuring no cats share the same row or column, and that they never touch—not even diagonally.

Start by looking at the tiny peach region in the top right corner. Because it only occupies two squares in the first row, row 1's cat must go here. Place the cat in row 1, column 8.

Since row 1 is now taken, the top-left pink region cannot use its highest cells. To safely fill this area, place the cat in row 3, column 1.

Next, look at the light yellow region nearby. To avoid touching the pink region's cat diagonally, place the cat in row 2, column 3. This successfully secures row 2.

The cyan region is a neat vertical block restricted entirely to column 7. Place the cat in row 4, column 7.

Now focus on the center of the board. For the mustard yellow region, place the cat in row 5, column 4. Moving over to the left side's blue region, place the cat in row 6, column 2. This placement works perfectly because it safely avoids the cats in rows 3 and 5 while satisfying column 2.

Working down the board into the light pink region, place the cat in row 7, column 6.

For the dark green region that borders the right edge of the grid, place the cat in row 8, column 9. This firmly establishes the cat for the final column.

Finally, tackle the large brown region spanning the bottom. Place the cat in row 9, column 5. This final move completely fills the board with exactly one cat per row, column, and colored region!
