How to Solve Meowdoku Level 71
Start by identifying the single-cell regions. Row 2, column 1 is its own region, so place the cat in row 2, column 1. Similarly, place the cat in row 5, column 4.
Next, look at the purple region. The cell in row 5 is blocked by your previous placement. If you test row 7, column 3, its no-touch radius would eliminate every remaining valid cell for the light green region in the bottom-left. Therefore, place the cat in row 6, column 2.
For the light green region, column 1 is blocked, and row 7, column 2 vertically touches the purple cat. This leaves only one safe space. Place the cat in row 8, column 3.
Now, determine the row assignments for the remaining regions. The pink region must secure a spot in row 7 (as rows 6 and 8 are taken), and the dark green region is forced into row 1 because all its other cells share rows or columns with existing cats. This means rows 3 and 4 are strictly reserved for the yellow and brown regions.
Look at column 8, which consists entirely of yellow cells. Since rows 1 and 7 are reserved, the yellow cat belongs in row 3 or 4. If placed in row 4, column 8, it diagonally touches the only available brown cell in row 3 (row 3, column 7). To avoid this conflict, place the cat in row 3, column 8.
The brown region is now forced into row 4. It cannot be in column 7 (touches the yellow cat) or column 5 (diagonally touches the cat in row 5). Place the cat in row 4, column 6.
With column 6 now full, the pink region is pushed to the right. Place the cat in row 7, column 7.
Finally, complete the board by returning to the top left. Place the cat in row 1, column 5.
