How to Solve Meowdoku Level 29

The best way to tackle this puzzle is by starting with the most restricted areas and using the no-touch rule to deduce the rest of the board.

Start right in the middle. Notice the single-cell purple region exactly at row 4, column 5. Since every colored region must contain exactly one cat, place the cat in row 4, column 5. This is your anchor. Placing it here clears out the rest of row 4 and column 5, and blocks all diagonally and orthogonally touching cells.

Next, look down towards column 6. The upper half is heavily restricted by your new anchor. Place the cat in row 7, column 6 to safely fill this column. To satisfy row 5 without triggering the no-touch rule against your center cats, place the cat in row 5, column 7.

With the right side taking shape, complete the pink region on the far edge. Place the cat in row 6, column 9. Then, secure the dark green bottom region. Place the cat in row 9, column 8, which maintains a safe diagonal distance from your other placements.

Moving over to the bottom left, the brown area needs a resident to fulfill row 8. Place the cat in row 8, column 3 to completely avoid your row 9 placement.

Now, tackle the open top left. Satisfy the rose-colored region first. Place the cat in row 3, column 1. To fill column 4 without touching the cats you just placed, place the cat in row 2, column 4 inside the teal region.

Finally, complete the board. Place the cat in row 1, column 2 inside the small olive-colored region. This safely separates all the felines, perfectly fulfilling every logic rule to beat the level!
